About the FRAGRANCE
It was during a trip to Hong Kong that I first noticed the intriguing design of Chinese tobacco packaging. Often found in small tobacconists and corner shops, these works of art are layered with rich storytelling and beautiful imagery. No matter where you travel in Asia, there is an abundance of inspiration and beauty to be found in everyday life. I vividly recall one evening, late at night, in an alleyway restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. Fresh spices lingered in the air while a television cast a soft glow over the room. Locals sat around the tables, smoking and playing cards. Using my Leica pocket camera, I snapped the image of what would become the foundation for Chinese Tobacco EdP. Fragrance notes include Tobacco, Coriander and Oud.

FRAGRANCE NOTES
- Tobacco
- Warm, dry, and slightly sweet. Smells like cured tobacco leaves with a soft, earthy and hay-like depth.
- Ginger
- Fresh, spicy, and slightly citrusy. Bright heat with a sharp, zesty bite and a dry aromatic edge
- Coriander
- Fresh, green, and slightly citrusy. Lightly spicy with a soft herbal warmth and a dry aromatic finish.
- Tar
- Dark, smoky, and resinous. Thick and industrial, with a burnt, leathery depth and a sharp, bitter edge.
- Cedarwood
- Dry, woody, and clean. Smooth, pencil-shavings-like wood with a soft, slightly balsamic warmth.
- Oud
- Deep, dark, and woody. Smoky and resinous with a dry, slightly leathery warmth and subtle balsamic sweetness.

A PERSONAL DINING EXPERIENCE
The Fragrance Journey is based on the creator’s memoirs from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
It is long after midnight and the neon signs light up the dark sky in Terengganu, Malaysia. I am close to the chaos of the city, but it is quiet here in the park. I am surrounded by old, gigantic trees, enormous vegetation and tree crowns. I open the doors of the wooden building and enter the traditional Chinese restaurant. The air is filled with wonderful aromas from the kitchen area. A man is sleeping in his chair while resting his head on the table. A group of men is playing cards while smoking under the fluorescent light. Women engage in loud conversations while chopping fresh coriander and a small child sleeps in a basket at the end of the room. A TV screen presents the latest music videos from London. The kitchen’s gasburners fill the air with a burnt scent. East meets West.
